My first attempt was made on Adobe Photoshop I used a filter to change the background image. I then cut myself out with the 'magnetic lasso tool' and copied me onto a new layer. I was then able to change the image adjustments to black and white. I then tried out the text we had already decided on which we had made on Adobe InDesign, the font we choose was 'magneto'.

After showing Sophie the front cover i had made, we both wrote down some feedback of what we liked and what didnt like. This then meant i could change, the cover to what would look the best.
Above is our feedback from the front cover. We decided on using the same image, but as i had created the disc first was to have a thought of continuity running through the Digipak.
We used the same photo but zoomed it in and changed the canvas size to what was appropriate for the CD cover.
I then changed the filter the 'notebook' and played around with the relief so that it matched the disc. I then used the eraser tool to rub out in white dots or lines on the image, that looked out of place, simply just to touch it up a bit.
I then added a gradient on the image, this made the image lighter an dthe bottom, it is just to add detail. Finally i added the text which was the same font, 'magneto' Having the front cover very plain and simple i thought worked alot better than the orginal cover.

i am finding it difficult to read your mindmap.
ReplyDeleteI like your final work. Can you create a page on your blog to demonstrate a comparison between the final work and your research to higlight how you came about your ideas?
