Making the Digipak- Disc

To make the disc I used Adobe Photoshop, i found this program quite simple and easy to use due to using it last year for media. However i have learnt new tools and skills on the software. Here is the making of the CD Disco:

This is a basic disc what we started off with, and very simply added text.

I then was then able to click on the text layer, and change the opacity of the text, this fades in the text.

I then cut the photo out to fit the disc.

I then changed the levels of the photo to give us both a tan and a brighter effect, which would stand out.

I changed the levels of the picture, by moving the arrows at the bottom of the graph, to what i thought fitted the photo.

After discussions with Sophie, we both decided that the bright disc did not fit what we wanted, it was to bright and happy. In our video we have developed the idea of black and white scenes, we also wanted our ancillary task to convey this. Because of this I played around with the filters on Photoshop and choose the filter, 'note paper'.

I was able to decide how high or low i wanted the image balance, graininess and relief.

This is our final disc, after adding the additional text.
