Research For The Poster

Sophie and I had already decided that she was going to make the poster for our project. However i did some research myself:

This is a poster of Ne Yo promoting his new song. I think this poster is brillaint. The image of Ne Yo, in the centre, as if he is walking towards the audience. The writing has been really thought about, and it works well, even with the different styles and colours. There is not alot of colour on the poster, however this could be seen as dull, but it does work well, especially with Ne Yo in a black and white suit. The background image really contrasts with the image of Ne Yo.






This poster is promoting Ellie Goulding new song and album lights. This poster is very plain with the one image of Ellie Goulding. Having the font match her hair colour works well, as it keeps the amount of colours to a minimum. I have found with the two posters i have looked at so far that The artist's name is bigger than the album name, as they are also promoting themselves.






This is a poster for Bloc Party. They are promoting themselves not an album. I will be promoting an album, but i found it useful to look at a variety of posters. The poster has a basic image of young people, which is who bloc party are aimed at. The text works well especially it being in blocks as it compares to the name bloc party.







All my poster research has apects of it that i hope Sophie uses to create our poster, which i know will look brilliant.
